When placing an order, are there any minimum order requirements?
Screenprinting: YES Our minimum requirement is 12 pieces per design.
Embroidery: Per Order We usually do not have minimum requirements for embroidery orders, but a minimum order may be required if the order has a high stitch count and/or may need special handling.
Promotional Products: YES Every promotional product has its own specific requirements. Please call for any order minimums.
What is your pricing?
Our pricing reflects quantity discounting. It is more economical to order a higher volume.
What is the average delivery time for an order?
Silkscreening orders take between 1-2 weeks.
Embroidery orders
take between 2-3 weeks.
Promotional product orders take between 2-3
weeks.
Please allow additional time for shipping.
Orders may be delayed because of inventory and/or availability issues with our vendors.
Can I receive an order before the average delivery times listed above?
YES. Rush services are available, based on production capacity and decorating method. We can deliver in 24-48-72 hours with an extra fee for rush production, and overnight freight. We will make every attempt to meet your deadline. Please call us to discuss your specific needs.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept personal, school, and/or business checks, Visa, and MasterCard. You must pay upon receipt of your product or there will be a 1.5% per day finance charge. It is always in your best interest to pre-pay.
How do I send my artwork?
Digital files approximately 9mb and smaller can be emailed to our sales staff.

- .AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- .QXD (Quark)
- .IND (Adobe InDesign)
We request that any original art, such as, sketches, drawings, or paintings be handed in by the customer to ensure that the art is not destroyed from transit. Steelville Silkscreen Studio, LLC is not responsible for art lost and/or damaged by the post office or courier.
If I place an order, can I get a re-order later?
YES. There will be no screen charges for re-orders within 2 weeks of the original invoice date. After 2 weeks there is a $15 charge per screen. Re-orders are subject to the same minimum order requirements as listed above.
Artwork & File Specifications
Our experienced and creative art department can take your concepts and turn them into extraordinary completed artwork. We are here to help you accomplish your goals and complete your project.
Our art dept bills at $25 an hour. We can give you an approximate quote. Changes will be billed at the same hourly rate.
When printing films from digital files it is important that your file be constructed properly. Screen printing requirements for textiles are very different than those for printing on paper.
The information below will help you prepare your artwork so that problems or additional costs can be avoided or minimized.
These are general guidelines. Specific questions about your art can only be answered after viewing your artwork or designs.
Artwork for screen printing needs to meet certain specifications in order to reproduce well. One of the requirements is the quality of the resolution.
Most images that are displayed on web sites are created at very low resolution in order to transfer or download quickly. Typically web site graphics are 72 dpi and physically small (1-3 inches wide).
Images for screen printing must be at least 200 dpi.
IMPRINT COLORS: When calling out colors please use Pantone Colors or custom colors (not CMYK) .
FONTS & TYPE: Please convert fonts to curves (create outlines) before sending your files.
IMAGE SIZE: It is best to present your files at the size you want printed on the garment otherwise the image size must be specified.
HARDCOPY: Clean crisp black & white artwork can be supplied on a maximum size of 11x17" paper.
COPYRIGHT/TRADEMARKS: We will not print any graphic or text that is copyrighted, trademarked or otherwise registered as belonging to a specific company, person, or brand.
